One Lap, One Wish for Britney

Make-A-Wish is Supported by GenieKnows.com to Make Wishes Come True

Stephen Noton and GenieKnows.com are partnering to raise money for Make-A-Wish Atlantic Provinces through the One Lap of America to fund Britney's wish to meet Tony Stewart.

Britney is a spunky 5-year old from Bannon, New Brunswick. While recuperating from her heart transplant last year, Britney started watching the NASCAR races and cheered on Tony Stewart. Her room at home, decorated in orange, is a tribute to her favourite driver.

So, it was no surprise to her parents that Britney chose to meet Tony Stewart as her most heartfelt wish.

In late April, Britney's wish will come true, when she and her family will be flown to Talladega, Alabama to see the NASCAR race. Britney will have an opportunity to meet Tony Stewart himself and will also spend some time touring the sights in Talladega.

"Britney is so excited... the races have started and she has been tuned into each race cheering for her driver." writes mom, Jennifer.

Stephen will be racing his 2008 smart car on race tracks throughout the U.S. in the One Lap of America (formerly named Cannonball Run) in May. Including the drive from Nova Scotia to and from the race he will be travelling over 12,000 kilometers. He hopes to raise $10,000 to go directly to paying for Britney's wish.

After seeing Stephen's enthusiasm for the One Lap event, his employer, GenieKnows.com, decided to get involved by sponsoring Stephen's entry. They are also contributing to Stephen's fundraising by committing to donating 20 cents for every dollar Stephen raises up to a maximum donation of $2,000.
