Map mode is just that - only the map. Zones mode is a unique feature that allows you to define rectangular areas of interest on the map. Within these areas you can search locally. Pins mode is useful when performing searches - it shows the location of the results shown in the left panel. Hybrid mode is a combination of pins and zones in which we give an overview of the area searched and the number of results found in each zone. Using Hybrid, you can quickly find all the hot spots in town.

Our data comes from a variety of sources and as such the quality of some sources is better than others. We automatically verify listings by geocoding their addresses. Unverified listings are those listings that we are unable to geocode accurately. This may be the case when we have a listing that is missing a street address or has some location inaccuracies that we were unable to correct.
We currently only support searching in map regions of size 50mi x 50mi or smaller. To define a map region, you can manually zoom the map and then search for a keyword (e.g., pizza) or you can use the Zones map mode to define your region.
The Genie Says feature is our attempt to add a little bit of fun and humor (and sometime usefulness) into searching. The Genie makes sarcastic, humorous, and sometimes rude suggestions based on your search query. You can turn off this feature by going to your privacy settings page in your user profile account.
