Decent Sandwiches

The sandwiches at the Italian Gormet never disappoint. The ingredients are always fresh and consistently tasty.

I agree with the previous review, the service can be a little slow - almost annoyingly slow on occasion. But the food is good.

Coffee is good also.

Tasty, But Lacks Variety & Service

The Italian Gourmet is a great option for take-out or eat-in lunch in downtown, but unfortunately, they rarely change their offerings, and the service could be improved. Staff is polite enough, but their system of customer service isn't very efficient, and you often end up waiting way too long to be waited on. They could use more staff to ensure better service.

nice food, great take-out option. Price varies from $7 to $10. Voted "Best Take-Out Lunch" by The Coast 2002-2004

Italian seasonings in the city

Delicious ready-made and made-to-order meals if you're in a hurry, and it's also great for some authentic Italian ingredients and foodstuffs. I highly recommend their salmon pate and thai noodle salad. However, it can be a bit over-priced, and the customer service isn't consistent.

Great stuff ... but expensive

A restaurant/deli/bakery with some high end selections.

A great resource for finding some usually hard-to-find ingredients for your own cooking -- or take the night off and pick up some pre-prepared pasta, pizza and more from the deli counter.

Definitely worth a visit for those who enjoy Italian food ... but it's not East Side Mario's, so you're paying a premium (which is worthwhile).
