A Halifax tradition

I agree with maddog's post: this is definitely a summertime tradition. I always take visiting relatives down there, and they always fall in love with the tails. They're great for sharing because they're so big, and they have several flavours to choose from. I personally just like them with a bit of cinnamon.

Beavertails on the Boardwalk

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is walk along the Halifax Boardwalk with a hot beaver tail smothered in chocolate.

Beavertails offer a unique and addictive pastry which is shaped in the form of a beaver's tail and fried. It is then served with your choice of toppings including butter, chocolate, whip cream, etc.
