Barbara Manning
President & CEO

Barbara continues to build IT Interactive Services (ITIS) into a market leader in the Internet search industry. She believes that ITIS has the capabilities of being one of the leading companies in Canada in the development of new technologies in the information retrieval sector.

Since graduating with her MBA in 1994 from St Mary's University in Halifax, Canada, she has built strategic alliances and strong partnerships both domestically and internationally. Barbara has served on regional and national boards and currently serves as a member of the Greater Halifax Partnership.

Barbara channels the skills she has acquired into ensuring that ITIS achieves its vision and remains a profitable enterprise for both employees and stakeholders. With her expertise and experience, ITIS will continue to achieve positive growth both domestically and abroad and be positioned to take advantage of outside capital investment as the need arises.

John A. Manning
Senior Vice President

John A. Manning is a Senior Vice President of Business Development of IT Interactive Services Inc. and one of the founding principles of the company.

John has been instrumental in obtaining and fostering many of our long term relationships and is responsible for the overall development and implementation of the sales department. He is an advisor on human resource management within the company.

John obtained a Bachelor and a Masters in Psychology from De Paul University in Chicago as well as a Masters in Education from Dalhousie University in Halifax.

Mark A. Harper
VP Content and Marketing

Mark joined IT Interactive Services as Director of Operations in July 2002. Prior to joining ITIS, Mark managed the Operational Budget and Accounting Office for the Delegation of the European Union (EU) in Washington DC (1997-2002).

In July 2009 Mark became 'VP Content and Marketing' with overall responsibility for marketing, content management, SEO and SEM.

Mark studied at The Kensington School of Business in London, gaining a Business Administration Degree with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. A proven team leader, Mark brings with him a wealth of international project management know-how, financial and operational management experience.

Mausam Prince Kalra
VP Local Search

Mausam joined IT Interactive Services in May 2001 as Chief Technical Officer, bringing with him an extensive skill set and invaluable industry experience and knowledge.

Since joining ITIS, his main remit has been to design architectures for new projects, managing the technical team, working on technical projects and client development.

He completed his Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electronics in 1999 from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, India, majoring in micro-electronics, computer graphics, optical fibers and computer networks.

In 2000, Mausam completed a Diploma in Advanced Computing at the prestigious CDAC Institute. CDAC is noted worldwide for the production of Super computers for the Indian Government.

Mausam continued his studies at Dalhousie University, Halifax completing Masters in Computer Science, followed by an MBA from St. Mary's University in Halifax.

Tony Abou-Assaleh
Director of Research

Tony joined IT Interactive Services as Director of Research and Development for GenieKnows.com in June 2006. Since then, Tony has been leading the research team in developing novel and innovative search-engine technologies. An established team leader and researcher, Tony advances GenieKnows.com toward its vision of connecting people, products, and places.

Tony received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree with first-class honours from Brock University in 2001, a Master of Mathematics in Computer Science degree from University of Waterloo in 2003, and a PhD in Computer Science from Dalhousie University in 2008. His research interests include probabilistic reasoning, knowledge management systems, natural language processing, information retrieval, machine learning, and privacy and security.
