The 2nd annual GenieKnows.com Pumpkin Carving Competition throw up some intense rivalries today, as pumpkin carving tools were crossed and battle lines were drawn on Argyle Street.

The misguided adjudication panel locked themselves into the judging room for a full 30 minutes and eventually announced that the intricately designed Witch pumpkin carved by (left to right) Dan,Trevor, Sarah and Jay won the day for it's superior design and illumination qualities.

Several other pumpkins were locked in a tight race for 2nd place, with the bizarre Britney Spears pumpkin winning out with it's 'strange' factor apparently. We may need to see that judging criteria again after we've all sobered up.

Coming in 3rd place was the Pirates of The Caribbean - Davey Jones Locker pumpkin - equipped with a full Blackberry sound system playing the appropriate theme music.

In 4th spot was the excellent Hellraiser pumpkin - and a special mention for Rob who risked death by electrocution when placing the small lights around his teams pumpkin. Scary business this pumpkin carving game.

Coming in 5th place, in what many are calling a huge controversy, was the much loved GenieKnows.com Halloween McPumpkin. Despite a savage canine attack team McPumpkin regrouped to put together a fantastic effort....special mention to Keith for feeding Ellie a dog treat from heaven!

The final mention goes out to the scary 6th placed pumpkin eating street vagrant pumpkin and in last place was the half-finished 'Face' pumpkin, which may yet turn into a masterpiece after Andrew has finished his online pumpkin making webinar. Good times.....
